Early Math

The Commission’s Early Math Education program was recently established to raise awareness about the importance of incorporating STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education at the earliest possible age. The MIND Research Institute partnered with the Commission to design a Pre-Kindergarten math software program that uses a visually based approach to teaching critical thinking and problem solving skills. The goal of the program is to reduce early achievement gaps and to help prepare pre-kindergarten children from all socio economic and cultural backgrounds for success in elementary and middle school math.
