Ingrid Harita, Commissioner

Harita brings 35 years of social services experience to the Children and Families Commission, 22 of them with the County of Orange.

She has held management positions throughout Social Services Agency and in July 2005, became the agency director. As the new director, she also joined the Children and Families board as a commissioner. Immediately prior to this new post Harita served as the Executive Division Director for Adult Services and Assistant Programs, a division with 1,290 employees and thousands of clients per month.

Harita received her bachelor of arts from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a master of social work degree from the University of Houston. She has worked in California, Texas, and Canada.
